An express holiday...

One day, I got a message in Facebook from one of my long lost friend – Anis. She asked for my phone number. “Ada hal sket” katanya. Aku pun bagi la dengan msg “Pehal? Ada projek juta2 ke?”

Then, she called me. Asking me to be a Penilai Industri for her final year student. Actually, she’s a lecturer at UMP. So, her student come out with a project for final year. To assess them, they need an outsider la. Cam pertandingan for their faculty la jugak.

Dan aku dah cuak. Sudahhhh… apa aku nak kena buat? Nak assess ni bukan senang weh. At least kena ada some knowledge on what to be assessed? Mana lah aku reti kan? But kawan aku ni cakap she picked me coz of my job scope on QA. Maknanya aku dah tau la to test an application. Lagi pun semua student dia buat project on software development. Aku just judge on how the application works.

Aku pun setuju la. Lagipun mileage can be claimed, accommodation covered, siap ada payment sket. Ok la kan?

Maka, on 14 April 2010, aku gegeh amik AL sari to go to Pahang. Dear hubby pun aku angkut sekali sebagai drebar and to babysit anakanda2 semua. Hehehehe…

We went there on 13 April. Sampai dalam kul 8.30 malam. Stayed at Vistana which already booked for me. Malam tu, we just ordered from room service. Amik burger paling mahal. Sejibik burger rega dalam 25 hengget. Tp sebab malas nak kuar, hentam je la. Sib baik sedap.

The next day, Anis picked me up at hotel. We reach UMP around 8.45 am. Tp acara start agak lewat. Ada lah tu teknikal problem. There’re about 20 participants to be judged. A participant should be assessed around 10 mins je. Tp ada gak yang lama sebab derang duk bercerita segala mak nenek pasal application.

While dear hubby stayed at hotel sampai kul 1. Then derang check-out and went to Telok Chempedak.

To be frank, semua application derang hebat2. I’m proud to see that we got really great developer. Rasanya, masa aku dulu pun final project tak sehebat ni. Aku dulu main buat cikai je. Sib baik grade je. Ahaksss…

The winner is Malay, second is Chinese and third is India. Waaa… terror aku judge. 1 Malaysia maaa!

We went back to KL around 5.30 and reach our home around 7.30. Esoknya masuk keja dengan letih ya amatsss
